چکیده

One drawback of OFDM systems is the high peak-to-average power ratio, which imposes strong requirements on the linearity of power amplifiers (PAs). Such linearity requirements translate into high back-off that results in low power efficiency. In order to improve power efficiency, a PA nonlinearity cancellation (PANC) technique is introduced which reduces the nonlinear distortion effects on the received signal. In order to deal with broadband high-power PA (HPA) distortion, the PANC technique employs a Wiener-Hammerstein model. Simulation results show that good levels of distortion cancellation are possible for a system with a nonlinear HPA with memory.

Analysis and Comparison of Compensation Techniques of HPA Nonlinearity in Multi-User MIMO OFDM Systems using MMSE Receiver

The combination of Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) with Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is a promising technique for high performance with very high data rates in 4G broadband wireless communications. However, the non-linearities caused by the High Power Amplifier (HPA) degrade the performance of MIMO-OFDM systems. In this paper, we present a theoretical analysis of nonl...

Adaptive Linearization Scheme for Power Amplifiers in Ofdm Communication Systems

An adaptive linearization scheme based on the exact model-matching (EMM) approach is proposed to compensate nonlinearity of high power amplifiers (HPAs). It is illustrated that the input-output property of the broadband amplifier system can be approximated by a memory polynomial model (MPM). Then, the compensation of HPA input is determined from the MPM in a real-time manner, and consequently, ...

Improved Technique of PAPR Reduction Combined Pre-distortion in OFDM Systems

Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is an effective parallel multi-carrier transmission scheme. However, this technique has one weakness of a higher transmission signal Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) when the signal is transmitted. To reduce the impact of High Power Amplifier (HPA) nonlinearity on OFDM system, this paper proposes the combination of improved clipping and filter...
